PJammin

PJammin was a huge success!! At least 4 elementary schools participated. I took Jorja to school and it was incredible to see all the students in the pjs for such a great cause. It brought tears to my eyes. Jorja's teacher told me the entire school participated and had so much fun. She told me I should have called the news. :) They want to do it next year. They received a letter from another parent who has a little niece fighting cancer, and this parent explained how grateful they were for Pjammin Day. One of the elementary schools that participated also made 100's of cards for the oncology patients at Primary Children's Hospital. Raylee was able to deliver those cards for them. I will include a picture of some of the students and the cards.

I just want to thank everyone who participated in this. It was a lot of fun and I am hoping to make it a more widespread event next year.

Neuroblastoma

Neuroblastoma is cancer of the sympathetic nervous system--a network of nerves that carries messages from the brain to all parts of the body. Primary neuroblastoma is a solid, malignant tumor that usually first appears as a mass in the abdomen (most often in the adrenal gland) or near the spine.

About 650 children are diagnosed with neuroblastoma each year in the United States. Two-thirds of children diagnosed with neuroblastom are 5 years old or younger.

The Native American Legend of the Butterfly

As a gift to His human children, the Great Spirit created butterflies. He took black from the maiden's hair, yellow from the warm sun, and blues from the lake and sky. Once he gathered the most beautiful of colors, He made them into butterflies.

If you want a special wish to come true, whispher your heart's desire to a butterfly. Since butterflies make no sound, they cannot tell the wish to anyone but Him. Being so colorful, the butterflies will easily be seen as they fly to heaven. The wish will be taken by the wings of love to heaven to be granted.
